It's 11:06 PM, and I'm just getting around to posting this. The Webmaster (aka That Nice Boy I Married), who also functions as Network Admin and all-around adorable computer geek, has been dealing with hardware issues today. I'm on my third computer in as many weeks, this one a desktop he built me.

And then there was the keyboard problem. For years I've been working on laptops, with their teeny little keyboards. I have little hands, anyway; heck, I'm all of 5'2". All of a sudden, I was working on this huge "ergonomic" keyboard with a split down the middle. My hands, which can generally touch-type nearly as fast as I can think, didn't have the faintest idea what they were doing.

So I ran out to Staples. I walked in, and a nice young man said "Can I help you?" I replied "Sell me a keyboard." I tried out a few, and bought a Microsoft keyboard that fit my hands. Brought the box home, gave it to The Webmaster to install.

And came into my office five minutes later to find he was installing a Dell keyboard. Which had been in my Microsoft box. I'm on the Dell this moment, and it's fine, but I probably should take it back tomorrow and get the one I paid for...

Anyway, that's why I'm blogging at... it's now 11:21 pm.

Breakfast:

Yogurt with peaches and All-bran again. When I wake up absolutely starving, this is an attractive option, for one simple reason: My dogs haven't figured out that it counts as breakfast. They only understand cooked breakfast. And if I've had a cooked breakfast, they know they are then entitled to be fed. Immediately.

But I don't want to feed them right away. I'm busy reading the paper and sucking down tea and exposing myself to bright light, but let's not get into my need for phototherapy right now. So I'll eat something that doesn't need cooking, and the dogs don't figure out that I owe them breakfast yet. If I have some sort of low carb baked goods on hand, I'll have a nibble of those. But I haven't baked in the last week or two, so I've been turning to the yogurt/fruit/All-bran combo.

Still, I think eggs keep me full longer, and I know that I get more protein and fewer carbs. So I need to either wait on breakfast, or ignore the big, imploring puppy eyes.

Lunch:

Egg salad, with red bell peppers and scallions and celery and ranch dressing and stuff. Wrapped in red leaf lettuce. Yum.

Snacks:

Sugar-free dark chocolate
Almonds

Dinner:
Another rib eye, the third of the steaks I over-thawed the other day. But this time I split it with TNBIM.
Sauteed mushrooms and onions on the steak.
Steamed green beans with butter and chopped curried cashews. This was insanely wonderful.

Beverages:
Tea
Sparkling water
Dry red wine
