Daily Menu January 4th, 2008

Breakfast:
Creole Eggs -- three eggs poached in a quick Creole-style tomato sauce. This is one of the recipes from 15 Minute Low-Carb Recipes that I've come back to so many times I have it memorized.

Lunch:
The last of the roasted chicken thighs. I was out of coleslaw, so I wrapped bites in red leaf lettuce.

Snacks:

Sugar-free dark chocolate

A whole pink grapefruit I peeled and ate out of my hand like an orange. (Actually, I didn't eat quite the whole thing, because my pug, Nicky, insists that I share. Nick has unusually broad tastes in produce for a dog.)

Dinner:

Broiled rib eye steak
Buttered peas
(This is getting embarassing. I'd better cook something at least a little interesting for dinner tonight!)

Beverages:
Tea
Cider-ade
Sparkling water
Dry red wine

Daily totals: 1847 Calories; 94g Fat ; 94g Protein; 75g Carbohydrate; 17g Dietary Fiber
